I stayed for 3 nights and loved every second. This was my first time traveling solo, and this hostel was absolutely perfect for me. The location is amazing, and the cleaning staff did a great job keeping everything tidy. What I loved the most, however, was the staff! They are such wonderful people and, in my experience, went above and beyond to ensure my stay was as enjoyable as possible even when I didn’t have any plans. They organize daily walking tours, family dinners, indoor games, and night outings. They genuinely make an effort to ensure everyone is having a great time. For me, it was definitely worth the money. Special shoutout to Squid and all the other team members!

The staff were amazing all of them, but, especially Elize and Connie, they made me feel at home from the moment I walked in the day, and genuinely cared when they asked questions, and not just questions for the sake of it. They provided the best recs especially for coffee and on what to do, for someone who just took a trip on a whim. The hostel has free activities everyday and night which is incredible, and they are actually free which is nice. I like the fact that all there activities start with something sober (if u choose) which just makes it so much easier getting to know all the guests, what everyone did and then all the staff always make u feel comfortable and safe, if u want to party party u can, but if u still wanna join and not wake up with a headache u still can. If u never stayed at a hostel before, or stayed at more than few, this is my rec for first timers what and as long u keep that mind open, ask for a joke on check in and u leave feeling like u just wanna come back, which is why I extended three times. Onefam Waterloo is the kind of hostel I won't forget. When I was booking the hostel, I noticed how many people mentioned its vibe and activities, and they're right! I arrived a bit later at night, but the friendly staff checked me in and explained everything to me in detail. The most special thing about this hostel is that it organizes daily walking tours and many other activities. The hostel, however, strikes a good balance for those who want to rest and have a quiet night sleep at night. (There are quiet hours.) Even an introvert like me still managed to have a good time with fellow travelers and made some new friends (shout-out to those in Germany!). I just wish I was staying longer and had more time to join more walking tours and activities. In terms of the room, it's quite a standard hostel dorm with lockers that require your own locks. The toilets are clean. The shower is a bit older, but I really didn't mind. After all, it's the people that count.
